Nej, det går tyvärr inte att kolla. Nyckelmetoden är enbart för motorstyrningen och vissa generella koder för växellådan.

Vill man kontrollera givarna och övriga ABS-styrningen med ett instrument så måste man åka till en verkstad som har tillgång till DRB-verktyg, ungefärligt pris för felsökning är 1 000-1 500:- kr

Har själv både ELM327 som dessvärre är krånglig att använda (har visserligen flera bärbara PC men en måste ju ut i bilen) och Biltemas större modell. Dessvärre så lade jag undan den senare på ett bra och säkert ställe för ett tag sedan och nu vet jag inte var den är (inte första ggn sådant händer!).

Vojjen går ju ändå att köra med men en Merca jag hade tidigare gjorde max 50 i en liknade situation.
Bytte "springen" på både den och en Vojje -98 vilket gick på resp. livstidsgaranti. Svenska Chrysler är ju nedlagt så hur Fiat ställer sig till det kan man ju undra?

Känner att vi bilägare blir lurade hela tiden. Mercaspringen kostade bara den ca 3 000 kr om jag skulle ha köpt en ny - 300 kr hade varit mera rätt. En felsökning här kostar ca 600 kr hos märkesverkstad (finns två, varav en är Hedins) och 300 kr hos Mekonomen.

Själv vägrar jag finna mig i detta verkstadsberoende och trodde väl inte att det här felet skulle uppstå än på några år.

Värsta exemplet ganska nyligen i vår familj är när dottern (ca 40 mil mellan oss) fick fel på sin SAAB 93 och vst påstod att motostyrningsenheten för 10 000 kr måste bytas. Efter ett telesamtal från mig så lyfte hon på ena batteripolen i några minuter -sedan fungerade bilen igen.

Nä, det gäller för oss bilägare att skaffa de resurser som behövs för att kunna fixa felen själva, har flera exempel på bilägare som blivit lurade. Genomsnittsbilägaren har ju oftast inget val.

Får väl försöka leta fram min läsare och kolla. Om inte, får jag väl skaffa en bättre avkodare.

Dina läsare klarar endast av koderna från motorstyrningen, dvs. samma som nyckelmetoden

Om man vill kunna läsa av andra moduler än PCM så måste man ha DRB-verktyg, dom kostar från 15-25 tusen, Starscan/Star Mobile.

Inte alla Mekonomen-verkstäder klarar av den modulen i Chrysler, dom kan no bara kolla upp vanliga OBD2-koder.

Men nu sa du att ABS-lampan lyser, då hjälper det inte med "clockspring" ? =) Eller menar du att Airbag-lampan lyser?

Jag brukar inte förespråka verkstäder, precis som du säger så slutar det ofta tråkigt med dyra pengar ..men i detta fallet (om man vill ha reda på om det är en ABS-givare eller modul) så måste man åka till en verkstad som har rätt utrustning. Man kan annars mäta upp varje givare och kontrollera på så sätt, men ibland kan dom ta skada av att man lossar dem =(

Det är ABS-lampan som lyser, ursäkta. Lämnade in vår 300 M till en auktoriserad vst vid tillfälle för ABS-fel. Beställde enbart felsökning. De angav en sensor bak - jag hittade inte felet, lämnade till en annan vst och då var det en sensor på ett framhjul kass vilket de fick byta! Den första vst ville ha 600 kr för "felsökningen".
