Hej
Har en Chevrolet Trans sport 99a som gått 18k mil
Problemet jag har är att Kylfläktarna inte startar.
Har felsökt på detta sätt och kommit fram till.
Ingen ström kommer fram i kontaktstycket till fläktarna.
Har full ström fram till säkringen.
Har 14v om jag mäter kablarna fram till givaren som sitter till vänster på kylaren om man står framför bilen.
Har provat att både kortsluta givaren och jorda den för att få fläktarna att gå...

Vad kan jag testa mer för att kunna utesluta givaren?

Givaren som ska känna av och säga till när dem ska gå igång sitter på vänster sida (om man står framför bilen ) mitt på kylare? Ser ut som en lite fyrkantig låda. Som det går 2 kablar till?

Bara så jag är på rätt givare...

Vågar jag varmköra bilen så den kommer upp i över 100grader på mätare ?
har hört att fläktarna inte ska starta förrän tempen kommer upp i över 105grader.
Tänker på om något är fel ändå så dem inte startar.

Den givaren är för kylvätskenivån. Kylfläktarna styrs från PCM via två relän i lådan över batteriet, för två hastigheter. Enklast för att testa att kretsen fungerar är att försiktigt ta av kåpan på relät sedan är det bara att peta till armen med en skruvmejsel och då ska fläktarna starta.

Temperaturen för när fläktarna startar är olika beroende på om AC är på (och fungerar) eller ej, för om AC'n är på så startar de redan vid 95 grader annars inte förrän 110 grader. I sig är inte det ett problem, för om kylsystemet är tätt så kommer det inte att koka förrän vid ca 125 grader då trycket och frysskyddet höjer kokpunkten.

Dock så är ju de här bilarna ökända för att inte hålla riktigt tätt, så jag gillade inte när temperaturen gick över 100 grader på min 02'a som inte hade fungerande AC utan då körde jag värmen för fullt för att hålla ner temperaturen. Den 04'a som jag kör med nu har fungerande AC så där är det inte ett problem.
